APPLE CRISP

2 1/2 to 3 cups of apples sliced and peeled.
1/2 cup cinnamon sugar mixture.
3/4 cup flour (i use all purpose)
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. softened butter
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup 1 minute oats (quick cooking kind)

Preheat oven to 375. On the stove top, place the apples in a pan with the 2 tablespoons of butter and cook on low heat till butter is melted. Stir in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and incorporate well. In a casserole dish spread out apples evenly.
In medium bowl, combine the flour with the brown sugar. With pastry blender your hands, mix the butter until the mixture is crumbly, then add oats and incorporate. Evenly sprinkle the mixture over the apples. Bake 30 minutes or until heated through and topping is golden brown.
