Eddie’s Pizza Sauce

  • 1 Can of San Marzano Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Salt

This seems too simple.  This is precisely what is used in Italy.  Open the can of tomatoes, crush them by hand.  Add the salt and sugar and you are all set.  I use an emulsion blender to make it more like sauce but you don’t have to if you do not have one.

*Note, sometimes there are some small hard pieces at the top of the tomatoes to which I pull off and discard.
