HAMBURGER N FRIES CAKE

3 9 inch round cakes (2 for the bun, 1 for the burger)
1 8 inch square cake (for the fries)
1 can of store bought chocolate frosting

Décor:
Tubes of white, yellow and red frosting
Green and red gumdrops
Coconut colored with green food coloring
Handful of rice krispies

This recipe is a semi-homemade recipe. It’s a cute cake for kids or to bring to a Bar-B-Q just for fun. It actually looks like a great big hamburger when it’s done. Have Fun!

Put one of your round cakes on a large plate. This will be the bottom bun for your burger. Make sure to leave plenty of room on your plate for the fries!
Squeeze some white frosting on the top of the bottom bun, this is the mayonnaise. Sprinkle the green coconut on top of the white frosting for the lettuce effect. Remember you can sprinkle more of the “coconut lettuce” on the side of the platter.

Put another round cake on top. This is your burger. Frost the top and sides of the burger with the chocolate frosting. To make the pickles and tomatoes, press the green and red gumdrops with the back of a spoon until they’re flat. Put the pickles and tomatoes on top of the burger.

Now squeeze some red frosting on the sides of the cake, mainly on the burger part–this is the ketchup oozing out of your burger. Do the same thing with yellow frosting for mustard.

Now place the other round cake on top of the burger. This is your top bun. Sprinkle on some crispy rice cereal on top for the sesame seeds.

Cut the square cake about 8 equal times, as shown in figure. Cut in half and pile on the plate next to the burger. Squirt some red frosting for ketchup effect.
