MOM’S BEEF STEW

One London Broil ~ cut into small pieces
1 Large Onion
2 Packages of Onion Soup Mix
Beef broth to cover meat
Pepper to taste
Garlic to taste
Potatoes cut in small pieces
Fresh Carrots ~ cut in pieces
Fresh Green Beans – cut in pieces
1 Can Stewed Tomatoes
2 Tablespoons of oil to brown meat
Cornstarch for thickening gravy.

Brown meat in oil. Add garlic, onions and brown a bit more. Add beef broth to cover meat, stewed tomatoes and pepper. Cook over medium to low heat and simmer for 2 hours for tenderness. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook until done to taste. Mix cornstarch and water to make a paste and to stew and thicken.
