MOMS SAUCE

1 28 oz. Progresso Diced Tomato and Italian Herbs
1 28 oz. Progresso Tomato Puree
2 28 oz. Progresso Crushed Tomatoes with Added Puree
1 28 oz. Progresso Peeled Tomatoes
6-8 cloves fresh chopped garlic
4-5 fresh basil leaves (finely chopped)
3 sprigs fresh parsley (finely chopped)
3 sprigs fresh Oregano (finely chopped)
3 Tbsp. Raw Sugar or brown sugar
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
3 Tbsp. Olive Oil

Heat olive oil on low in a nice size stainless steel pot. Add in the garlic and stir constantly as you do not want the garlic to burn. add in the parsley, basil, and oregano to allow the aromas and flavor to be brought out. The herbs should only be in this oil briefly (1 or 2 mins) before adding the sauces as we do not want this to burn. Add all of the cans of sauces, then add the sugar and Parmesan cheese. Incorporate well. Allow this to simmer on low for at least 4 hours stirring occasionally. Add your meatballs and sausage early to make sure they cook through.
